Larry Speaks on Teams ‘n’ Tech at Maestro’s Annual Users Conference

Held on October 18, 2022 in Toronto, Accelerate 2022, Maestro PMS’s annual users conference, saw Larry give a keynote speech on a Teams ‘n’ Tech (TNT) approach to hotel management heading into next year. Based on Hotel Mogel’s ongoing TNT audits for independent hotels and small groups, hoteliers at all levels and in all departments now need to embrace technology and automation as a continuous process so that teams can focus on meaningfully engaging with guests and not be demotivated by repetitive tasks.

“For years the hospitality industry has been guest-centric in its approach to service and loyalty,” stated Larry as a snippet from his lecture. “While hoteliers must do everything possible to ensure guest satisfaction, it cannot be at the expense of staff. There needs to be a massive paradigm shift in how we operate; employee satisfaction must trump guest satisfaction at all costs. In the end, happy employees can’t help but translate to happy guests. This is the most radical change in hospitality today, and it cannot be deployed effectively if independent of technology.”
